have you switched on the physical switch?

In my T60 is near to the touchpad, on the Edge.

lsusb, after switch on it should contain (executed as root):

Bus 004 Device 005: ID 0a5c:2110 Broadcom Corp. Bluetooth Controller
Bus 002 Device 003: ID 1199:6804 Sierra Wireless, Inc. MC8755 Device
...
