[ltp] Locking up when line power failure

I wonder if the power loss and return might have been accompanied by a
power surge as well.
Also I've had my machine lock up if undocked improperly. When the
docking station lost power it probably appeared to the laptop to be
undocked improperly and didn't remove the devices properly.
