[ltp] xbacklight

hi,

I‘m new to this list and also to linux…
So I have a new thinkpad X61s, running Arch with XFCE4.
Some time ago I wrote here that I cannot control the backlight brightnes 
and got the answer „xbacklight is your friend“.
So I googled, but did not manage to install and use it, nor did I find a 
good page that explained it to me. I would be very thankfull, if someone 
could give me a hint, where to search and how to get it working.
