[ltp] Intel Wireless Drivers in Stock Kernels When?

I just got a new T61 with Intel 4965AGN wireless. It does not work
with CentOS 5.1. From googling around it seems Intel has developed
drivers but it requires compiling a new kernel. Despite the fact that
I'm a C programmer by trade that stinks because it breaks distro
package management and I really don't want to have to deal with that.

Does anyone know if the Intel wireless drivers have made it into any
of the stock  / distro kernels?
