the product I bookmarked after reading the thread is this adapter from
addonics

it's really cheap but the shipping costs to europe are insane (it's not
worth to buy that from italy :( )
as far as I know, the only thing to consider when using SSDs as boot drive
is to avoid unnecessary write on "disk" and disable journal.
in order to reach 1,2GB on my x40, I've to throw away my 512MB and buy a 1GB
module.
