There are 3 kinds of LCDs for the T61. There's WXGA (1440x900?),
WSXGA+ (1680x1050) and the 'p' model has WUXGA (1900x1200). I have
seen WXGA and I returned the machine because I thought it was
unimpressive. I am very impressed with WSXGA+ which is 1680x1050. I
didn't notice any kind of brightness issue but I can't say I was
specifically looking.
