No it doesn't. I cannot get rid of the problem even after downgrading X.org. 

I'm confused: This system used to require s3_bios and s3_mode quirks, and that is the default quirk mode for the R60 in both HAL and uswsusp.

Now suddenly s3_mode cannot be used. I have worked around it with the appropriate HAL configuration, but should the defaults be changed?

Does anyone have an R60 with Intel graphics? Please try
  s2ram -f -a1
and
  s2ram -f -a3
from an X session.
