Good morning!
I've a question! A few minutes ago, I read that the new kernel 2.6.28
supports hdaps without a kernelpatch out-of-the-box.
So I installed the new 2.6.28 Kernel from Ubuntu developing version
"Jaunty" into my 8.10 "Intrepid Ibex". Everything works fine!
But I still dont get the hdaps to work!
I've got the same problem as with kernel 2.6.27:
The modul tp_smapi I am able to load without any problems and it is
working fine! But when I try to load hdaps I get this error:
| # modprobe -a hdaps
| WARNING: Error inserting hdaps
(/lib/modules/2.6.28-4-generic/kernel/drivers/hwmon/hdaps.ko): No such
device or address
I know I have to use the module "hdaps_ec" with Ubuntu kernelversion
2.6.27 instead "hdaps". But if I try to load the module "hdaps_ec" I get
only an error, that this module isn't present:
| # modprobe -a hdaps
| WARNING: Error inserting hdaps
(/lib/modules/2.6.28-4-generic/kernel/drivers/hwmon/hdaps.ko): No such
device or address
I hope someone is able to give me some advice!
Greetings!
Michael
