Thats not good to hear... I have a "new" R61 ThinkPad. I bought it a
month ago...

| Please post the result of `dmesg| tail` after trying to insert the
| hdaps module bundled with tp_smapi. There's a chance you might need to
| use the parameter force_io=1.
Oh! My mistake!! That was the wrong error message!! The correct
errormesaage when loading the bundled hdaps_ec module is:
| # modprobe -a hdaps_ec
| WARNING: Module hdaps_ec not found.
This is what I get from `dmesg| tail` after trying to insert the hdaps
module:
| [ 6060.925977] tp_smapi 0.37 loading...
| [ 6060.926093] tp_smapi successfully loaded (smapi_port=0xb2).
According to the error "Module hdaps_ec not found" there is no reaction.
When I try to load "original" hdaps I get this back from dmesg:
| [ 6505.607606] thinkpad_ec: thinkpad_ec 0.37 loaded.
| [ 6505.608933] tp_smapi 0.37 loading...
| [ 6505.609054] tp_smapi successfully loaded (smapi_port=0xb2).
| [ 6595.287774] hdaps: inverting axis readings.
| [ 6595.287777] hdaps: LENOVO ThinkPad R61 detected.
| [ 6595.287781] hdaps: driver init failed (ret=-6)!
Hmmm... Does it mean my ThinkPad isn't supported yet?
