[ltp] Fedora 11, resume unreliable on X40

Thanks for the input. However, this fix does not apply to me
because:
- I am running Fedora 11, not Ubuntu
- My X40 is a single processor/core machine, where the fix deals
with multiprocessor concurrency problems.
The next step for me is to try a clean install. For the first time I
did an upgrade from F10->F11 and maybe it's a coincidence, but too many
things seem to have broken. I also have interminent sound problems and
the display dimming on batery power never worked right, with the
display running at partial intensity that cannot be increased.
