Hi Helen,
I'm using ThinkFinger on my T61 (Ubuntu Intrepid) after following this
instruction: http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/ThinkFinger
Unfortunately, it's in german only.
Basically, I had to install these 2 packages:
* thinkfinger-tools
* libpam-thinkfinger
After that, I cli'd these commands (as root):
$ /usr/lib/pam-thinkfinger/pam-thinkfinger-enable=20
$ tf-tool --acquire=20
$ sudo tf-tool --verify=20
