The crux of my problem is that ATI has not released a driver that will
work w/out massive Rube Goldberg-ing with the ATI hardware in my T60 and
the new SuSE 11.2. Their current driver installer is here:
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/linux/Pages/radeon_linux.aspx?type=2.4.2&product=2.4.2.3.15&lang=English
There is also dialog regarding this problem in the openSuse forum, in
the laptop subforum.
I'll post again when I have resolution to this problem. Cheers.
