[ltp] Which sound support to use?

Hello!
I am running Debian testing on my ThinkPad T400s. It was one great 
installation. However, I realized that I have both HDA Intel (ALSA 
mixer) and Conexant ID 5069 (OSS mixer); ALSA being active. The thing is 
that Gnome ALSA mixer is giving me only Conexant ID 5069, and that 
VirtualBox is complaining here-there that sound is not-working. What is 
wrong here? Should I remove/purge some of the OSS mixer stuff and let 
ALSA alone? I have bad feeling that something there is in mess, but I 
know little about sound settings.
