Hi,
after a recent Arch Linux X11 update I was forced to remove the "nomodeset"
line from my kernel line in menu.lst on my t42. I had modesetting turned of
because of problems I had I can no longer remember.
After starting X I now have a resolution of 800x600 or similar, even though
my native resolution is 1400x1050. Running
$ xrandr -output LVDS --auto
fixes the resolution, but some windows that should be centred on the screen
now appear in the upper left corner.
Any hints how I can fix the resolution at boot time without calling xrandr?
