[ltp] screen resolution is wrong after removing "nomodeset" from kernel line in menu.lst

This is probably a stupid question but do you specify 1400x1050 in xorg.con=

or the appropriate sections of xorg.conf.d? A lot of people say that X is
now smart enough to get by without a config file but I still find that I
need xorg.conf for a lot of things.
