[ltp] Recommendation on graphics drivers for the W500

Hi All,

I have a Thinkpad W500 with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 and I just installed
Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx). This laptop has switchable graphics so it also
has an Intel graphics card.

Reading the Unofficial ATI Linux Driver
Wiki<http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Ubuntu_Lucid_Installation_Guide>I
see the 4 different driver options I have for the ATI card.

What I need is:
- good 3D support (can't live without compiz)
- good battery life
- stability as this is my work laptop
- ability to dock and undock without issues (I use cloned desktops)

What do people on this list recommend:
1. Should I use the ATI or the Intel card?
2. If I use the ATI card, should I use open source radeon
or proprietary fglrx?
