TBH, I think some folks are looking back at the IBM era with the rosy
tint of nostalgia.  Take the T2x and T4x for example: they had numerous
quality issues, yet were (with the exception of the very, very last
T43ps) entirely IBM-made.

Exceptions: the SL series, the X100e, and the Edge -- but none of those
have any IBM "blood" in them.  IMO, all the models that were derived
from IBM designs or designed by ex-IBM engineers (basically all the
non-IdeaPad-derived ThinkPads) are still as solid as they were when IBM
owned the brand.
