Is it the firmware from the package called=20
rtl8192se_linux_2.6.0015.0127.2010.tar.gz from realtek?
phage hw # ls -l rtl8192se_linux_2.6.0015.0127.2010/firmware/RTL8192SE/
total 248
-rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 2153 Feb 23 15:43 Realtek-Firmware-License.txt
-rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 80976 Feb 23 15:43 rtl8192sfw.bin
-rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 75984 Feb 23 15:43 rtl8192sfw492.bin
-rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 89616 Feb 23 15:43 rtl8192sfw74.bin
I am using that and have no problems with open networks. On WPA/EAP I=20
expierience repeated drops of connection.
Does the Ubuntu kernel have a patch using the driver from this package?
The last information about a in-tree driver I could find is this post
http://www.pubbs.net/200907/kernel/86900-rtl8192se-support-status.html
but that's from ten months ago.
You also mention to patch smapi for x100e. Can you point me to the patch=20
you mean? I am using the one for thinkpad_acpi posted here a few das=20
ago but am seeing problems loading the smapi modules.
Thanks a lot.
