So, after no improvement after several updates and a reinstall to 10.10,
I started to try other distros.
A new Fedora 14 install seemed to be going well and then when rebooting
after some updates
the screen started flashing and then went blank.
My first thought was that F14 had somehow "bricked" my TP, but later, on
a external monitor it was quite clear that the ccfl picked that exact
moment to die.

Is anyone having good hibernate/restore cycles on any of the recent distros?
I don't know if this only applies to older TPs, but it seems to be a
problem in the kernel.
