Hi,

I had a similar problem with a Seagate drive, it did make a constant noise
wich bothered me a lot as otherwise my working place is very quiet. I asked
around and even got Seagate support involved, but ultimately I switched to
another brand of HDD and this one is not audible unless it does heavy disk
access.

Thanks... Dominik.
