Do you mean the dialog shown when clicking on the 'end of session'
button (light switch icon) ? If so, yes, hibernation works (I'm using
pm-utils and TuxOnIce).
About the gnome-power-manager's icon in the tray, I only have a battery
status and access to its preferences.
