Although that may work for you, I do not think it is appropriate to
recommend it as a generic solution for everyone.  Those options are
disabled by default for a reason.  If they were generally safe, then
they would have just been removed and the functionality always
enabled...

They are even more risky in combination.  See e.g. the explanation why
FBC was disabled (to make RC6 safer):

The options are there for you to try and see if it works for *you*.
