[ltp] Any experience with Thinkpad X1?

Ummm... alternatively, are there other current models that people could
particularly recommend?  (A local acquaintance reports good results with
the T420s --- fairly vanilla install, and the only glitch is that the
microphone doesn't come back after hibernate...)
