I run FreeBSD 9.0 as my primary OS on my T61 (4:3, 14.1") and it works
great! I realize that this is not the same hardware as is present on the
T60, but since the T61 is newer and is also a mostly-Intel machine like
the T60 I imagine that you should be OK.
The only thing that I'd wonder about would be the GPU. If your T60 has an
Intel GPU then you're fine -- both the T61 and T60 use old enough
generations that the lack of KMS + recent drivers isn't a show-stopper --
but if you have an ATI GPU I have no idea what support is like. None of
my machines with FreeBSD have used ATI GPUs, so I can't comment as to how
well or poorly it will work.
Oh, one other thing: docking/undocking works fine (at least it does for
me), but hot-swapping the UltraBay doesn't seem to work. This could be
due to operator error though. ;)
Hope that helps.
Cheers,
Rob
