I just skimmed through your mail and, in a nutshell, you cannot load
the nouveau driver and expect nvidia to work. You have to blacklist
nouveau. Have a look here http://math.umons.ac.be/an/W510/#nvidia for
some instructions (they are not complete, you are welcome to send a
patch).
