[ltp] AC Power Measurement on T520

Hello,

on my T520, the Energy Manager displays also the Power Consumption when on
AC. 
Does anybody know more about that feature? 
Is this Power measurement a feature of the Thinkpad itself or a feature of
the AC adapter?
Does anybody know how to read the value with linux. 
Are the values available in the EC?
