[ltp] why is Thinkpad X220-tablet such a step-child?

Recently, I visited the ThinkWiki and discovered that there is minimal
information about the
X220-tablet "convertible" Tablet-PC.

I found a product description page, but as I read other articles about
Thinkpad and Linux,
it was as if the X220 or its tablet variant do not exist.  Am I simply
missing something obvious
or otherwise making a mess of my search attempts?

I continue to have trouble getting Linux Mint-12 (derived from Ubuntu
11:10) working well
on my X220-tablet.  I continue to read where others have most things
"running fine."
I continue to fail in finding either diagnosis or resolution of my
troubles and I'm dashed
if I know why.

Is there any help out there?
