Recently am reinstall my old PC Thinkpad T43 with windows XP-pro SP3.First
problem find was drivers installation. In lenovo web site are available all
drive need but not recently.Lenovo system update help me a little also
because some driver recommended are not compatible with T43 machine and
WinXPProbably this choose from Lenovo are because T43 laptop model is old
and out of market. After terrible search i find in the fllow web site finally
solution about latest drive installation.Need download
driveridentifier_setup.exe, install and after simple registration the access
to download drives is available. This web side make available the driver
need absolutely free off
charge.http://www.driveridentifier.com/scan/desktop.php?scanid=C5BF5A20BA5F48099F2D723FEF510BDD&
pcname=IBM+%2F+2668W4P+driversAfter drives full installation other problem
detect was laptop overheatingThe left side of keyboard start to heating and
this part of laptop is where processor is install and cooling air have
recirculation. With simple tool download in follow web site was possible to
see how much was the CPU temperature.http://www.almico.com/speedfan.phpThis
check show me the CPU temperature was approximately from 70 to 78 C"
immediately after every system start up at CPU usage 0.0-0.2%I think my self
"This is is not normal. This is a Laptop not a heater" I understated this
happens after IBM-ACPI driver install and power manager Ver. 5.20 is run.I
fix this problem with this a simple setting solution. In power manager
settings for default is load power scheme maximum performance. In power
manager system setting under (Optimize fan control to:) i change from
Maximize performance to balance all parameters for battery and AC
settings.Immediately temperature drop and stabilize from 78 to 49 52 C"I
hope this experience can help some body else.Good luck
