Personally my t410 gas been working amazing with fedora. I gave up on
Ubuntu as a Linux choice after the whole sharing my local searches with
vendors by default. Just my little piece of input. I never really had good
luck with Ubuntu on my laptops or my desktops. I started with stock fedora
with gnome 3 from the 18 build. And now running xfce with f19. Love it and
use it as my daily driver for work in the office and remotely. My only
issue with the laptop is the hardware limitation of the display. (I need
more screen space.) So I use it with a port replicator and an external
monitor while at work with the laptop display in a dual monitor
configuration.
Just my setup. I will be sad when I have to replace her and will be looking
hard before getting a new one when she dies.
