I bricked my X220 by installing a dual boot W7 and Mint 13 LTS
while the BIOS setup for the boot method was "auto". Ok, the
board was replaced by on-site warranty. After that, knowing about
the pitfall, the solution was easy: Pin the boot method to
"legacy" and everything should be fine with linux.
