AFAIK you can fit 2GB in that machine, and you should be able to upgrade
it to a 2.1GHz processor (Pentium M 765), so I think it's still got
quite a few years ahead.

PS: A quick search on ebay suggests $10 for the ram and $50 for the CPU,
so nothing outrageous.
