[ltp] the fan of ThinkPad X1 Carbon 4th starts quite often lately

Hi 

I am running Ubuntu 16.04 on my Thinkpad X1, but lately I noted that the
fan starts because the temperature rises. 

I run then either ps aux or 
sudo /usr/local/bin/ps_mem

But have difficulties to find the culprit.

Does somebody have an idea, how to track this down.
