So you want to boot the USB live medium on the same device you created
it (with Linux Mint).
Has this ever been succesful on this device? How did you install Mint
in the first place? Can you "burn" the USB on another device? Can you
try the dd method outlined earlier? Can you try a different stick, and
a different USB port?
