6 years is not old for such a laptop, so you should definitely be able
to keep using it for many more years.

But 6 years is a very respectable age for laptop batteries, so the most
likely explanation is that they're just dying/dead of old age.

Replace them.

Lenovo is annoying enough to have a section "Chargers, Batteries &
Charging Carts" which doesn't contain any battery, so you're probably going
to have to buy off-brand ones.

iFixit only sells one of the two (I've had good experiences so far with
iFixit).  Many other companies sell that one and the other one as well,
but I can't vouch for their quality.
