Fortunately, I do not have NT4. And, you have the 1280x1024, while I
have the 14.1 screen with half the pixel count. I don't know if this
makes any difference (as far as this problem is concerned), but my
model ships standard with '98. I am running Linux on a separate disk
right now, mostly out of fear because of the potential geometry problems
with the 14.1 disk. (Funny, 14.1" screen, 14.1 GB disk!)

Yup, this is a real problem as we use laptops for demos, and the little
window just doesn't get it. My last two laptops (grossly inferior to the
Thinkpad) were a HP Omnibook 5700 and a TI Travelmate, and I did not have
this problem with either one of them!

? How would that work? Other than the power-on with the F1 key getting
you some bios settings, I can't figure out how to go into a "real" bios
setup like you can on other 'puters. What am I missing here?
