I'm glad it was of help. I did once configure the mtools to be used with
the zip drive as well and there they mentioned that one needs to skip 
the first 16kbytes to get the actual file system.

OTOH, if you just use fdisk on an inserted zip disk, you'll see the used
partitions in the partition table and you can mount with certainty the 
right one :-)
