[ltp] TP 570 won't hibernate...

I upgraded the HD in my 570 with a 12G from IBM.  Everything is great except
hibernation under Linux.  Works fine under M$ stuff, but when I suspend while
running Linux, the suspend light blinks and at the point where normally would
start saving to the disk the system powers off.  I've tried using a partition
instead of a file.  I don't know what else to try and can't for the life of me
figure out why it's doing this.

Has anyone seen this behavior before?  Anyone have bright ideas?
