All,

I have a ThinkPad 570E running the new RedHat 7.0 with
linux-2.4.0-test9 kernel. As always, I'm trying to squeeze the maximum
performance out of it that's possible. This is what I've done so far

hdparm -d1 -A1 -m16 /dev/hda
added idebus=66 to /etc/lilo.conf

added support for PIIX IDE controllers in kernel (as well as tuning)

Is there anything else that I can do? Is there anything wrong with the
stuff that I've done so far?

Thanks in advance!
Brian
