If you go to the support section on the IBM ThinkPad page at
http://www.pc.ibm.com/us/thinkpad and then search for "battery", you
will find some useful links among the first search results. E.g. "TP
General - Battery life decreases with age and usage of battery", "TP
General - ThinkPad battery information" or "TP General - Tips for
getting the most out of your battery". There is machine specific
information too, of course.
