[ltp] New mwavem release

I would like to say again that I am impressed by the
level of commitment that IBM is showing toward Linux.
We have read about the large size of IBM's Linux R&D
investment, but I find the release of the Mwave/ACP
modem driver impressive in its own way since it indicates
a willingness also to support a device that has been
discontinued, even if only recently. (New ThinkPads no
longer use the Mwave modem.)

Of course, I always thought that if IBM could write
drivers for OS/2 then they should be able to write
drivers for Linux too. :)

I am glad that this driver is going open source.
I presume that in the end it will be possible to
open up some or most of the code, with legality-
encumbered portions provided in binary form.
It will be especially useful to have the source
code for the loadable kernel module so that users
can recompile this for their custom kernels. But
I say the obvious.
