After playing around a little bit I found out that if I boot with the CRT
connected and the LCD disabled, the CRT will display all modes correctly. I
can use xvidtune to switch to the 70 Hz mode and I will get a stable piture
on the LCD as well as on the CRT.

As soon as I enable the LCD in the boot menu (I use grub), the CRT will only
get the fixed modes of the LCD and I got a flickering X display. xvidtune
-next has no effect, the X display mode won't change.

Unfortunately, if I boot with the LCD disabled and go to the console to
enable the LCD (Fn+F7) I will get a glowing white screen on the LCD (looks
like out of sync or something). The CRT displays a mode "640x400x70". The X
screen is still fine on both the CRT and the LCD, only the console on the LCD
will be broken.

Is there anyone with the same behaviour or even with a solution?

Tino
