Oops, I accidentially wrote a totally wrong file name in my previous
post - don't know why that happened. Of course I meant to write
/etc/X11/XF86Config-4, which is definitely the file that is being read
by my X server on this Debian unstable system here. And it definetely
contains the DPMS option in the Monitor Section.

Sorry for the confusion.
