Are you using integral PCMCIA support?  There is also PCMCIA
support available as a separate package.  Try whichever one
you didn't try before.

Harmless, so long as your config.opts file is set up correctly
to exclude resources used by other devices.

That's pretty clear.  The card driver is looking for a 
memory region of a certain size and none is available.

You might want to start adding printks to the driver
code and to cistpl.c to find out how much memory the
driver is looking for.

This means that the netgear driver didn't fail gracefully.
