[ltp] 600e FIR Irda ---> Desktop?

Has anyone out there successfully linked thier thinkpad
to thier desktop using irda FIR mode?   Care to share
thier setup woes?  I really want to do this and I am 
attempting to do so as I write this email.

Don't respond unless you have done it.  I know where 
all the links are :)  

I am particularly interested in the desktop side.  The
600e part of it does'nt look so bad.

Near as I can tell the laptop install class of RH7.1 
puts a kernel in with irda support, but the workstation 
class does not?

If I have any success i will post it.
