[ltp] Lucent modem trouble on A21m

Running Mandrake 8.1. on a an A21m

Downloaded the modem drivers from the german site
(lt_modem and lt_serial were the modules installed).
Installation seemed to work fine. 

when I type:
In my /dev/ directory there are no ttyS* only tty#. So
I made one (ttyS@ cause I think I am on COM3). 

The weird thing is that I had it working on an eariler
install on the same distro MDK 8.1 but now no luck. 

Not sure what to do but I am sick of trying
re-install. I chose the right COM port on the most
recent. 

Now I am stuck and a little bummed.
