just to let you know:

I have a ThinkPad A20m with a LT modem. I downloaded the package
ltmodem-6.00a.tar.gz from

http://www.physcip.uni-stuttgart.de/heby/ltmodem/index.html

Just do the usual staff...

tar zvxf ltmodem-6.00a.tar.gz

then go to the newly created directory and read 1ST-READ

Everything is written over there in a very clear and easy way.

I personally run Mandrake 8.0, kernel 2.4.7-12.3mdk

The internal modem works like crazy!!!
