Hi,

I've snipped the long list of corres.

The problem I experienced was based on the DCOP server. Trouble is, I can't 
recall how I got round it - but I did two things. I re-installed a standard 
kernel of the distribution and, I think, I deleted the .DCOP directories from 
all users. Gnome doesn't use DCOP. I think the flash went OK but the crash is 
what messed with KDE I feel sure.
