[ltp] self-made external battery for laptops project

Tried this some time ago when I didn't have the correct PSU for my 2nd hand 
thinkpad....

12V got it booted, but it wasn't too stable. If you accessed the CD-ROM, which 
of course spins up and draws more current, the machine would switch off.

You may get different results though with a different PSU, it depends how well 
regulated it was.

You could always build yourself a DC-DC converter with some big 
electrolytics....
