Kevin,

sorry for the bad news, but from the experience I've gained on this
topic with T series TPs (which use the same docking station as the A
series), hot/warm undocking or hibernating while docked under Linux is
simply not possible - at least currently. Even though the appropriate
BIOS resource is set. I'd be happy if someone could prove me the
opposite here ...

That's why I've switched to the (passive) port replicator at work which
has no UltraBay2000 and PCMCIA card slots and needs an external power
supply. This fits my needs (connecting an external keyboard, mouse,
monitor and network) and works just fine with hibernation. Maybe you
find some Windoze-only guy who wants to swap his port replicator? ;-)
