[ltp] BIOS and sound in linux

Hello again,
Ok, I read up a little, here and there, got into my BIOS, and discovered =
I am running inet25ww. Now I seriously think this is primarily the =
reason I cant get sound working since the lastest bios update is =
inet36ww. If anyone has any pointers on doing this(upgrading the BIOS) =
via a LAN connection , and not floppy would be really nice. Or if I am =
wrong a sound should be working in linux with my current BIOS =
configuration, and it isnt please help!
